A teenage tearaway has been banished to the wastes of Siberia in a crackdown on juvenile crime in Germany.

The violent 16-year-old has been sent on an "intensive educational experience" in a deal between his native city of Giessen and the tiny outpost of Sedelnikovoa.

This was the report by Alan Hall in the Daily Mail. His article tells the story of a German yob who has been sent to the Siberian outpost in an attempt to : "remove the boy from "the stimuli of consumer culture""

The punishment cost the German taxpayer about a third of the normal cost for keeping the yob in custody in Germany and it will most likely have better results at rehabilitation.
The yob will need to chop his own wood if he wishes to keep warm, dig his own toilet and fetch his own water. Teaching the yob the valuable lessons of self reliance and discipline.

Britain should be taking up a similar regime of punishment for our yobs, at the moment we simply give them a slap on the wrist, then put them on bail so that they can go and be yobs again. Oh and lets not forget we give them a few more benefits in their pocket to buy more booze and drugs just in case they can't steal enough to feed their habits.
