A well respected name in the world of retail cakes and fancies, it's a shame that their actual product doesn't live up to the advertising.

What a lovely looking image of the opened pie on the front of the box, lots of lovely luscious juicy apple and blackcurrant chunks oozing out of the golden pastry.

Unfortunately the actual pie when you cut it open is not that full, with lots of air in the pie and very little filling compared to the Mr Kipling marketing image, what filling there is was mostly made up of thesticky 'goo' and not much fruit.

Mr Kipling gets round this 'discrepancy' by adding 'Serving suggestion' to the image, so what are they saying? We suggest that when you cut it open you push up the contents into one side of the pastry and then it will look like the image on our box. Give us a break Mr Kipling we expect more from you.
